Nelson Ag Companies were invited to participate on the Jobs, Tax Cuts and Workforce Development Panel on March 22nd, 2018. We were asked to share the bonuses and raises our employees recently received with the new Tax Reform implementation and asked the panel what elements of tax reform they felt would improve the job market for younger Americans. It was an honor to share our story and the positive impact to our employees and surrounding rural communities!
Sporting Clays on the Prairie Dog June 10-11th, 2017
To support our local community, Terry and Marcia Nelson host an annual sporting clays event at their residence outside of Almena, KS. The event is typically held during the first or second weekend in June and is a fundraising and sponsor based event that benefits the continuation of the Sebelius Reservoir to ensure tourism potential for the area and wildlife refuge preservation. The activities range from a Crazy Quail and 5-Stand Fun Shoot (experienced shooters ages 17 and under are FREE), an evening dinner with live auction and drawings, followed by the sporting clays shoot the next morning. All proceeds raised by Nelson Ag Companies are donated to the cause.
